curtis steele: artist unknown

January 13 - February 13, 2005

This show provided a glimpse into the studio practices of Curtis Steele, a professor from the ASU Department of Art. It offered the opportunity for students, faculty and staff, as well as members of the community, to see the new bodies of work being produced at the time.

Steele presented a range of works from photography to assemblage, performance, installation and video. His interest was in self-reflection as well as,” to exhibit images made by unknown photographers working in the early 20th century.”
