Join us at BAM for a free workshop exploring beginner techniques and reflective effects with watercolor.
We’ll be using stainless steel gazing balls to explore a range of beginner-friendly watercolor painting strategies as guided by curator and watercolorist Madeline Jennings McMahan. Supplies will be provided.
This workshop may be messy, so please dress accordingly.

Madeline Jennings McMahan is an artist and curator who holds both a BFA and an MFA in Studio Art with an emphasis in painting. An interdisciplinary painter, Madeline’s practice is characterized by use of watermedia along with explorations into print-media and photography. Her work has been selected for national and international juried shows, including the 5x5x5 Miniature Works Exhibition in Alexandria, Louisiana, and the 2021 Delta National Small Prints Exhibition in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Her work is in the permanent collections of Arkansas State University and the Arkansas Arts Council.
