A drawing workshop for non-artists and artists alike to work outside with one of the earliest proto-designs for cameras: the camera lucida.
The camera lucida was invented nearly 40 years before the very first photograph was made. It’s a simple device utilizing a prism and armature to project a scene in front of the sitter on to their paper. We will select a location to meet on Arkansas State University Campus and select subjects to draw with individual camera lucidas and basic drawing tools. There are limited seats and registration is first-come-first-served.
