Craft Week

  • Bradbury Art Museum 201 Olympic Drive Jonesboro, Arkansas United States (map)

This week-long Craft & Design Camp invites students ages 11–16 to explore hands-on making through a variety of tactile and creative processes. Throughout the week, campers will experiment with paper marbling and weaving, design with beads and mosaics, and learn fabric-based techniques like kinusaiga (a no-sew textile art form).

Students will build skills in pattern, texture, and design while working across materials such as paper, fabric, yarn, and beads. The camp emphasizes creativity, patience, and problem-solving, encouraging participants to transform everyday materials into unique works of art.

The week concludes with an introduction to linocut printmaking led by guest artist June Copenhaver, and a final showcase where students display their creations for family and friends.
