CALL FOR ENTRIES
Bradbury Art Museum, Arkansas State University

gathering is an annual juried exhibition of work from Arkansas artists living and working in the following counties: Arkansas, Ashley, Chicot, Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Desha, Drew, Greene, Independence, Jackson, Jefferson, Lawrence, Lee, Lincoln, Mississippi, Monroe, Phillips, Poinsett, Prairie, Randolph, Sharp, St. Francis, and Woodruff

The exhibition is held annually at Bradbury Art Museum and juried by a community member from the gathering region. The theme, selected by a BAM Team member, changes each year to encourage a more diverse cross-section of the creative work happening within NEA and the Arkansas Delta.

Exhibition Dates: June 28 – July 30, 2025
Opening Reception: Saturday, June 28, 5 – 7pm
Submission Deadline: Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 11:59pm CST

Juror
Andrew Fernandez is a multimedia artist interested in the life of objects after they have been built. He is Visiting Assistant Professor of Sculpture at Arkansas State University, and his teaching practice centers around the empowering benefits of exploration, play, and sculpting.

Eligibility
Open to all artists 18 years of age and older who reside in the following Arkansas counties: Arkansas, Ashley, Chicot, Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Desha, Drew, Greene, Independence, Jackson, Jefferson, Lawrence, Lee, Lincoln, Mississippi, Monroe, Phillips, Poinsett, Prairie, Randolph, Sharp, St. Francis, and Woodruff

This year’s gathering theme is At the Kitchen Table. Submissions must be original works of art made in the last two years which are no larger than the average kitchen table––i.e., dimensions must be 30 x 60 x 40 inches or smaller. All mediums, materials, and concepts are welcome.

Artists may submit up to three works for consideration. There is no entry fee.

Works Accepted
Results of the selection process will be emailed to all entrants by the end of the day on Friday, June 6, 2025. All accepted works must be received by Bradbury Art Museum by 5pm CST on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

Display
Artworks must arrive to Bradbury Art Museum ready to display. If artworks are not ready to display upon arrival, they will not be displayed. This includes, but is not limited to, framing and application of proper hanging hardware. Questions about display should be directed to Madeline McMahan at mmcmahan@astate.edu

Awards
Awards––including first, second, third place, and juror’s merit awards––will be offered and announced at the opening of the exhibition.

Sales
Bradbury Art Museum is not a commercial gallery. A price list will be available for museum visitors, but interested buyers will be directed to individual artists to coordinate sale of artworks. No commission fee will be collected, and all payments will be submitted directly to the artist.
