PEOPLE / PLACES / THINGS

PERSPECTIVES ON IDENTITY AND MOMENTS OF FAMILIARITY

SEPTEMBER 8 - NOVEMBER 30, 2022

In the arts, realism is the truthful or accurate representation of subject matter. It was this concept that inspired People/Places/Things. However, in putting the exhibition together, we wanted to explore realism in its entire breadth— from photorealism to surrealism to social realism and beyond. This show combines the work of fourteen artists from around the country. Their work is skillfully executed and visually alluring, while also thought provoking, with each piece posing unique questions about realism and reality.
