Many artists struggle not with making work, but with explaining it. This workshop focuses on translating complex, intuitive, or embodied creative practices into clear, honest language that serves both the artist and the audience.
Participants will explore strategies for articulating their work across different contexts—artist statements, websites, teaching philosophies, grant applications—while maintaining consistency and integrity. AI may be introduced as an optional support for drafting and revision, with an emphasis on using it as a scaffold rather than a voice.
By the end of the session, participants will better understand how to move between making and explaining, and how to communicate their work in ways that feel accurate, confident, and sustainable.
