SELECTIONS FROM THE RUDOLPH-BLUME COLLECTION
October 18 - December 8, 2017
This set of 88 artworks represented a fraction of the paintings, drawings, prints and sculpture that comprise the Houston-based, private collection of Sean Rudolph and Brad Blume.
Shown publicly for the first time at BAM, the exhibition included internationally revered artists such as Louise Bourgeois, Jim Dine, Ann Hamilton, Damien Hirst, Martin Puryear, Julian Schnabel, Richard Serra, Cindy Sherman and Andy Warhol.
Also featured were several well-known Houston and Texas artists like Michael Ray Charles, Mark Flood, Francesca Fuchs and Trenton Doyle Hancock.
Divided into themes, the exhibition features images that are abstract, represent people and portraits, various types of creatures, cityscapes, images of and from the home, and several methods of transportation. Each subject is displayed in one of the six galleries in the museum.
