ARTIST TALK: Kristy Deetz

Join us on for an artist talk followed by a Q&A session with painter Kristy Deetz. Deetz, the brilliant mind behind Threads, Folds & Rabbit Holes, is Emerita Professor at the University of Wisconsin—Green Bay. Her extensive exhibition record includes national and international venues. She frequently serves as a visiting artist and has led numerous painting/drawing workshops at venues including Haystack, Oxbow, Penland, Anderson Ranch, and Arrowmont. She is also a highly awarded as both an artist and an educator. UWGB awarded her the 2011 Founders Award for Excellence in Scholarship. She received SECAC’s 2016 Award for Excellence in Teaching, a 2015 Silver Award from Graphis Design Annual, NY, and just this year, she received the Wisconsin Visual Art Achievement Award for College/University Educator.
