BRADBURY GALLERY ARCHIVES (2001 - 2015)

Selections: From the
Claude M. Erwin, Jr. Collection

March 6 - April 18, 2008

Included in the exhibition were several works of art by internationally-known artists, originally in the collection of Claude M. Erwin, Jr., of Dallas, Texas. Thirty-one of these, consisting exclusively of works on paper, were generously donated to the ASU Permanent Collection of Art and were exhibited here publicly for the first time. Some of them included Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, Salvador Dali, Henri Matisse, Georges Rouault, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Paul Cezanne, Edouard Manet, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, Marc Chagall and Raoul Dufy.

Erwin also has been a longtime patron of ASU’s Delta National Small Prints Exhibition. The seven DNSPE prints he helped to fund at this point, and twenty-two additional pieces, selected from his private collection, were also included in this exhibition.
